Coverlock is a special sewing machine that allows for finishing with a bottom/top cover stitch.  Sometimes this stitch is called a linen stitch. These machines are designed for finishing knitted or crocheted garments – usually sweatshirts, T-shirts, blouses, etc. You can recognize a covered stitch by the characteristic double seam from above and loops from below the material on the bottom hem.
